剧情简介 ······ A family moves from Ohio to Los Angeles, where they find themselves unprepared for the city's fast pace, and the overcrowded public school that their three teenagers will attend. South of Nowhere premiered on The-N on November 4, 2005 with outstanding reviews from TV Guide, The Boston Tribute, The New York Post, New York Daily News, Entertainment Weekly, Variety Magazine and many, many more. It is one of four original series on The-N. The show is seen to many as an American version of the popular Canadian TV series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. The-N has even marketed South of Nowhere this way with promos that compare and contrast both Degrassi: The Next Generation and South of Nowhere. The show has so far tackled edgy subject matter for a teen soap like homosexuality, racism, and religion. It also features a main character who is confused about her own sexuality. This created a bit of controversy before the show's airdate. The-N initially ordered 11 episodes of the series. Many people thought that The-N cut the season into half, but all they did was give South Of Nowhere a four week break. The show returned to The N's lineup in January 2006 with the remaining episodes from the original order to air. There is also a big promotion push for the remaining episodes. Currently, interviews are being shown with stars, Gabrielle Christian and Matthew Cohen, during commercial breaks on The-N. All these positive signs show support by The-N. The network officially announced through The Futon Critic that "South of Nowhere" received a second season and 13 episodes have been ordered.
