"TWO THUMBS UP!" - SISKEL & EBERT "ENGAGING AND POIGNANT! Midnight Cowboy for the '90s." - Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times
Scott Silver's first feature JOHNS is a dark comic tragedy starring Lucas Haas and David Arquette as two young street hustlers working the hot grim landscape of Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard, the day before Christmas. It's a story about friendship and sacrifice-what we give of ourselves to help another human being.
After an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival, JOHNS went on to win an Euskal Media Prize at the 1996 San Sebatian Film Festival and the Special Audience Award at the 1996 Valencia Film Festival. JOHNS stars Lucas Haas and David Arquette and features Arliss Howard, Keith David, Elliott Gould and John C. McGinley. Written and directed by Scott Silver, it was produced by Beau Flynn and Stefan Simchowitz.
