Fresh from the successful run of his indie film, “Butas" which premiered less than a month ago, Marco Morales makes a comeback to the big screen by way of another indie film called “Booking”.
“Booking” is likened to the 1980's film “Bona” which starred Nora Aunor and Philip Salvador. In “Bona”, Nora Aunor played the role of an obsessed fan to Gardo (Philip Salvador), a second-rate movie actor. The character, Bona, was deeply consumed with her love for the fledgling action star Gardo that she went to the extent of dropping out of school just to become the latter’s manservant. It is her way of expressing of her devotion to her idol. Although totally enamored with Gardo, Bona’s feelings ended up unrequited as the man whom she has essentially given up her entire life for leaves her for another woman.
In “Booking”, Marco’s role is very similar to that of Philip Salvador’s in “Bona”. In the film, Marco is the struggling actor and playing his devoted fan is Gawad Tanglaw 2009 Best Supporting Actor awardee, Emilio Garcia. “Booking” also stars Snooky Serna, Ms. Anita Linda, Bernie Guinto, Mercedes Cabral and Charles Delgado.
